"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes, his eternal power and Godhead, have been clearly seen, being understood from the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give thanks to him. They became futile in their reasonings, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools. They exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image made like to corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over to uncleanness in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their own bodies. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men abandoned natural relations with women and were consumed with lust for one another, men with men committing shameless acts and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not believe in God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what is not fitting. They are filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, violent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, unwise, unsteady, unloving, unmerciful. They know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, and yet they not only do the same themselves but also approve of others doing the same.”
