Where are we going?

A person only lives once on earth and then there will be judgment. We can do whatever we want on earth, but let us remember that we will answer for everything before the Creator in judgment according to His rules, not human inventions.

Already here on earth we can experience the wisdom, power and love of our Creator and taste the fruits of a life submitted to His word in the Bible. We can experience peace, joy, love, happy families, communities, healings, help in school, at work and in everyday life.

This is His help in difficult times of life – in trials. We go through trials on earth, under the influence of evil beings, both human and invisible beings, who delight in pain and suffering.

The Bible says that we are so corrupt that none of us seeks God. But He in His love cares for us and gives each of us bright moments in life when we wonder what will happen to us next.

Many people have experienced the threshold of death, and even more have crossed it and returned to tell about it. What is certain is that every person must one day leave this earth for eternity, and we have evidence of this in cemeteries.

It's been in the Bible for 3000 years written, that God has shortened the length of human life to 70-80 years. People are preparing for exams at school, for a job, job interviews, performances, planning careers, vacations, but we don't know if we will wake up in the morning. In Slovakia, many people had plans for life on earth, but due to the impact of corona, thousands had to leave unplanned.

None of us have the day of our death in our diary, and most of us avoid thinking about it. But it is a reality that we all have to face, without exception. There are different theories, but God in His word prepares us for this reality.

The separation of the human spirit from the body is a consequence of mortality. Mortality is a consequence of crime = violation of God's law. Our spirit, soul and body have come under the influence of death.

By hearing God's message about the Lord Jesus, accepting Him and the subsequent act of immersion in water, God resurrects the human spirit to new life and the person begins to see life differently than before this experience. The very impulse to seek God is given by God Himself.

As you read these lines and your attention is directed to God, it is up to you to freely decide what you will do next. There are two options: one is to reject, the other is to open your heart and accept God's offer of a new life with the decision to leave the old life behind. By accepting the new life from God, the spirit of man is resurrected and values, lifestyle and behavior change.

When we respond with an open heart to God's call, He confirms in our hearts that He is the Only God, Jesus is the Only Savior of mankind, the Bible is His word, God's plan for the life of each of us, God's people on earth, heaven and hell. Man is no longer bound by the fear of death, because he receives life from God and the promises from His word, the Bible.

It cannot be proven scientifically or physically, it is an inner conviction that God Himself puts into the heart-spirit of man, which will manifest itself in an inner change of life subsequently manifested outwardly. It is not a matter of learned religious behavior, but of the unity of the spirit of man with God the Creator.

On earth there will always be a confrontation with the flesh-laziness, evil desires and the soul-pride, in which God helps man to overcome. In the heart there is certainty that after leaving the body, man goes to God his Father and to a place called heaven. Heaven is described in the Bible as a place where there is no death, no crying, no pain but there is life in His happiness and in His love forever.

The Bible describes a new heaven and earth, because the current universe will be destroyed because of the damage caused by the rebellion of angels and humans. The Bible describes a beautiful city measuring 2200 x 2200 km on a new earth, where we will live forever. Those who are written in the book of life will enter that beautiful place.

Categories of people are listed as murderers, idolaters, liars, cowards, fornicators, thieves, sorcerers-magicians who will not enter there. Their place is in the lake of fire in eternal torment in flames, hunger, thirst, eaten by worms in eternal solitude.

It is a call from God to reflect and acknowledge that He is the Creator of heaven, earth, and all living things. He is the Almighty God. He is represented as the Rock of Ages. No matter how hard anyone tries to move Him to change His rules and laws, no one has ever succeeded and never will.

On the contrary, the more someone tries to break God as an individual or entire groups, the more broken they are and God does not budge even a millimeter. God puts before us a choice – life or death. He advises us with love, choose life.

Father, I thank you for Your Son Jesus, for life and the hope of resurrection to eternal life with You.
