Flood

Jewish year 1556

our year 2204 BC.

The rebellion of people against the Creator became very widespread. There were few people who honored God and His Word, to whom God spoke. These people God sent to others to warn them against evil actions. They mocked God and His messengers. God decided to cause a global flood on Earth and eliminate perverted humanity. The flood means that the water culminated 7.5 m above the highest mountains of the world. The water column on Earth was at its maximum about 9 km. The duration of the culmination - 150 days. What an influx of wood, stones, clay, bodies of animals and people in the valleys it was, we cannot even imagine. When a short half-hour break comes to us, we have to shovel the roads from the mud and clean the riverbeds from logs, trees and other drifted materials. God left the man Noah with his family, 8 people in total, because Noah had respect for the Creator - the Giver of life. God told him in advance what would happen and how to prepare. He was given a precise plan of the ship in which he was to survive the flood. After the flood, they landed on Mount Ararat in what is now Turkey. Geneticists have found the origin of individual cultivated plants in the vicinity of this mountain. The current symbol of peace – a dove with an olive branch in its beak – is a reminder of the event of God's judgment on earth. Another symbol of the rainbow, as a symbol of childhood and a new beginning. It is good to remember and tell the event of the historical flood when you see a rainbow in nature.

The birth of the nation of Israel

Jewish year 1760
our era 2000 BC

God set apart one small nation of the world to fulfill His ultimate purpose for mankind, which is to give us a chance to return to Him, our Father. The story of this nation begins with the family where Abraham grew up. This family lived in the heart of the ancient Babylonian empire in the city of Ur, where excavations have found flushing toilets and hot and cold water in the city’s water system. God told Abraham that He would give his descendants the land of Canaan after 430 years of captivity in Egypt. All of these prophecies came true. God raised up Moses to lead the nation of Israel, numbering 600,000 men, out of Egypt. This was a group of about two million people who saw God strike Egypt with plagues, the last plague being the death of all the firstborn Egyptians, because the Egyptians were murdering the children of the Israelites. After ten terrible plagues, the Egyptians let the nation of Israel go free. While fleeing, they were ambushed by the Egyptian army at the Red Sea, where God opened the sea, the Israelites crossed over and the Egyptian army drowned. They then walked through the desert in the land of Midian-Arabia, where God provided them with His word, food and drink at their place of residence. In the desert, they received God's law of justice - the Ten Commandments, which none of us can keep. Therefore, part of the law is the promise of the Savior of the world, so that none of us can boast that we do not need God's help. Because of their rebellion against God, they wandered in the desert for 40 years and finally entered the land that God promised to Abraham. The biblical text contains the exact places of the described events, time periods and names of specific people and entire lineages.
